Client: MHI (Mobile Home Insurance)
Date: February 2018
Project URL: mobilehomeinsurance.com
The Challenge
Mobile Home Insurance(MHI) came to us because they were struggling to bring in new business with only 23 visits a month from organic traffic. The business covers 42 states in the US and it was important to show up in relevant local searches for each state.
Stephen wasn’t ranking anywhere near page one for keywords with a reasonable search volume and it was clear mobilehomeinsurance.com had a range of common on-site issues that were hurting his ability to rank.

Our Approach
The first month was dedicated to fixing various on-site issues. His load speed was slow due to oversized high-res images and unnecessary coding. Slow load speed severely impacts your site’s ability to rank on Google regardless of backlinking or content creation — fixing it before anything else was a top priority.
We optimized the content structure and relevance to boost rankings for local searches. As with the majority of our first-time clients, we already started to see a small shift in rankings thanks to these on-site tweaks.
Our link building campaign targeted local keywords with high user intent (eg. “mobile home insurance Delaware”). We also listed in local online directories and managed MHI’s social presence on platforms like Quora to help local rankings.

The Results
In the first four months, the rankings jumped up and down at random — a result we expected as this was the very first SEO campaign ever run on MHI’s site. But by month five, mobilehomeinsurance.com climbed into the top three results for half of the chosen keywords.
The site saw a massive spike in traffic over the next few months, topping off at 546 unique hits from organic search alone (roughly 23x their starting traffic).
